:::what i'm enjoying:::

Well, time for another round-up of what's been inspiring and intriguing me as of late. If you find something you like here, drop me a line and let me know.

Books
Searching for God Knows What- Donald Miller
Traveling Music : Playing Back the Soundtrack to My Life and Times- Neil Peart
Praise Habit: Finding God In Sunsets And Sushi- David Crowder

Music
Brave- Nichole Nordeman
Arriving- Chris Tomlin
It's Time- Michael Buble
Come Dream With Me- Jane Monheit
How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb- U2
Six Feet Under, Vol. 2: Everything Ends- Original Soundtrack
Monkey Business- Black Eyed Peas
Snatch- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Pretty strange mix...and this has just been in the past week! Ah well.

I've also really been enjoying the new season of CSI:, CSI: NY, and LOST...as you could surmise from my previous post. Oh, and you have to check out The Colbert Report (the "t's" are silent...except in "the"). Finally, a show that mocks the utter stupidity of "The Situation Room", "Anderson Cooper 360" and any show on Fox News (and no, I will not put the links to these shows up because they're all stupid).

So, let's get away from the media stuff and on to a couple/few great local places here in our very own Dayton, Ohio...

Cool Local Places

Powers Fine Art Photography
Great local photographer and great guy! Stace and I got to meet him during the Urban Nights deal last weekend. His studio is just two doors down from the one I work at, and his work is just amazing. He's got a great eye. Go check him out. And while you're there, you can check out his wife's work at...

Kate Lally's Euphorbia Ceramic Art
Housed in the same studio as her husband, Kate creates some of the coolest tile and 3-D ceramic art I've seen.

The Dublin Pub
Great food, a sweet environment and cool live music on the weekends makes this a real favorite of mine. Add in a wonderful beer selection and you've got yourself one awesome place to hang.

That's all for now.

Peace out, yo.
